Guidelines on the Overlook Bay Wiki are recommendations that are used to resolve conflicts among wiki users. Users are not obliged to follow the guidelines, thus, not following a guideline does not result in any punishment.

If a user decides not to follow these guidelines, they do so at their own risk, and the staff is not responsible for any bad occurrence that takes place. However, if violations of a certain guideline get to a point where the user in question is also violating certain policies or infringing human rights, the staff team must be alerted immediately.
