Tools in Overlook Bay refer to assets that aid players in carrying out activities or minigames. These assets or items may be classified as items that were or are currently present in the base game, or those items that were introduced during events. Items previously or currently present in the base game aid in carrying out activities such as Mining and Fishing, whilst items introduced exclusively for events used to help out in carrying out minigames such as Archery and Ghoul Busting.
Tools in general can be classified on the basis of their function:

Fishing Tools[]
Fishing Tools refer to Fishing Rods which are used to catch Fish, with or without special Bait.
Mining Tools[]
Mining Tools refer to Pickaxes and Drills which are used to mine Crystals in the Crazed Caverns. Pickaxes can be used to mine crystals in the Surface Area while drills can be used to mine crystals in the Molten Mines area.
Digging Tools[]
Digging Tools refer to Shovels which were formerly used to find and excavate Artifacts from sites marked with a cross (X) sign. Since the Digging activity is now removed, shovels have become defunct
Treasure Hunting Tools[]
Treasure Hunting Tools refer to Detectors which were formerly used to excavate Treasure from the Arcadia Isle. Since the Arcadia Isle as well as the Treasure Hunting activity is now removed, detectors have become defunct.
Event Tools[]
Event Tools refer to tools that only served their purpose as a tool for a specific amount of time during an event and consecutively later became a collectible item. These tools were used to carry out event-exclusive minigames, such as archery.
Miscellaneous Tools[]
Miscellaneous Tools refer to tools that fit in neither any major categories, such as Fishing, Mining, Digging, nor in the "Event Tools" category. These tools are generally introduced during events, but are not used to satisfy any minigames. Following is a list of all miscellaneous tools currently in-game:
