The Hermit Crab (alternatively Tulip Crab) is an uncommon pet in Overlook Bay which was released on June 18, 2021. It could be obtained out of the Bubble Pod at a 35% chance and the Pearl Pod at a 50% chance. Due to it being an uncommon pet, it cannot be obtained out of the Treasure Pod. It is a concept made by the Twitter user, @MoondustBri.[1]
Appearance[]
The Hermit Crab is based on real-life hermit crabs. The Hermit Crab shows biological resemblance to the nature of hermit crabs in real life, such as a large shell to protect its exoskeleton.
Shiny Appearance[]
In its Shiny form(view), the Hermit Crab emits yellow-colored particles. The nametag color of the Hermit Crab becomes yellow in color.

Rainbow Shiny Appearance[]
In its Rainbow Shiny form(view), the Hermit Crab emits particles that cycle through various different colors. Each particle varies in size and shape. The nametag of the Hermit Crab starts to cycle through multiple colors.
