The Griffon is a special pet in Overlook Bay which was added to the game as Part 3 of the 2022 Easter Event, on April 21, 2022. It could have been purchased from the Griffon's Nest for 
15,000. The Griffon is the first pet that can become flyable and rideable once it reaches its max age.[1]
The term "Griffon" is only used as a placeholder as this pet changes its full default name depending on whether it is in Normal, Shiny, or Rainbow Shiny form.
Perks[]
- In its Normal state, the Griffon is named the "Baby Griffon" and has no perks.
- In its Shiny state, the Griffon is named the "Saddled Griffin" and can be ridden by players.
- In its Rainbow Shiny state, the Griffon is named the "Soaring Griffin" and can be both ridden and flown by players.
Riding & Flying[]
- Riding: In order to "Ride" the Griffon, the player has to click on the pet and then subsequently on the "Mount" button. When they do so, the player's character sits atop the Griffon and starts riding the Griffon, similar to how equestrianism (or horse/horseback riding) works. Upon mounting the Griffon, a button pops up at the top of the backpack button of the player which can be clicked to dismount the pet.[2]

The Griffon is modeled after its mythical counterpart, the Griffin.
Shiny Appearance[]
In its Shiny form(view), the Griffon's fur around its face become longer in size and its wings acquire a special texture. The size of its beak as well as its eyes is also reduced, and the player gets the ability to mount and ride the Griffon.

- Similar to other mythic and special pets, this pet will evolve when made as Shiny and Rainbow Shiny.
- There was a controversy surrounding the alleged price of the Griffon pet being in
Robux. This misunderstanding, however, was cleared by Wonder Works Studio on April 20, 2022, via a tweet where two of Wonder Works Studio's employees revealed in a conversation that the Griffin would cost "Gems", referencing the fact that it would cost Emeralds.[3] - Although the pet was advertised by Wonder Works Studio as a "Griffin" several times in their teaser tweets, the pet was not released under the teased name and was instead called "Griffon" in-game.[4][5][6]
- This is the first pet that changes its names upon being made Shiny or Rainbow Shiny.
