Fish are items that players can obtain in Overlook Bay through the means of fishing using Fishing Rods. Fish can be sold at Barnacle's Bait in exchange for a certain amount of Emeralds, a price which is relative on the basis of how rare the catch is. The higher the rarity of the fish, the more XP a player gains upon catching it. XP allows players to progress through the Fishing Pass. Prior to the Overlook RP Update update, players could initially trade their fish in exchange for
Gems.
After the release of the Overlook RP Update, the number of in-game fish that players could catch was reduced to 13: 5 new fish, 1 remodeled fish, and 7 molten fish. All fish caught prior to the update were still exchangeable for Emeralds at Barnacle's Bait, and players were able to exchange the fish they had caught prior to the update even after the Overlook RP Update was released.
Original Fish, that is, the fish which were present in-game before the Fishing Update that introduced the River Fish, Ocean Fish, and the Lake Fish, did not grant users XP, as the Fishing Pass did not exist back then.
Prior to the Overlook RP Update update, some types of fish could be caught during the day, whilst some only at night. This is especially applicable in terms of Special Fish.
Fish are classified under 7 different rarities:
- Common - 2 XP
- Uncommon - 5 XP
- Rare - 10 XP
- Ultra-Rare - 15 XP
- Legendary - 25 XP
- Godly - 50 XP
- Special (Fish caught using Bait) - 250 XP
Fish can further be subdivided on the basis of the location where they can be obtained:
- Current Fish - Fish that can be caught in any certain bodies of water around the map.
- Molten Fish - Fish that can be caught in the Molten Mines.
Fish that cannot be obtained anymore:
- Original Fish - Fish that cannot be caught anymore.
- Ocean Fish - Fish that could previously caught near the Ocean surrounding Marlin's Island.
- Lake Fish - Fish that could previously caught near the lake which surrounds the Wishing Well, as well as the canal that leads from the lake to the river.
- River Fish - Fish that could previously caught by the shoreline of the main river in Overlook Bay.
- Tropical Fish - Fish that could previously caught in the Arcadia Isle.
- Deep Sea Fish - Fish that could previously caught in the Abyss in the Arcadia Depths.
Current Fish[]
These fish, along with Molten Fish are currently the only ones that can be caught in-game and were introduced as a part of the Overlook Bay:Overlook RP Update. The following table lists all of the fish that can be found in any certain bodies of water around the map.

Molten Fish[]
Molten Fish are a type of fish in Overlook Bay that can be caught using the Hades Rod only. Molten Fish can be found and caught near any certain lava surrounding the Molten Mines and inside Mount Elysia. These can be caught both during the day and night. Special fish, however, require players to use Bait to capture them.
Although Wonder Works Studio replaced all fish with newer fish alongside the Overlook RP Update, Molten Fish were unintentionally not removed, and players were able to catch them using the Hades Rod even after the update.
The following table lists all of the fish that can be found in the Overlook Bay:Crazed Caverns#Molten Mines 2|Molten Mines and Mount Elysia.

There were only a total of 5 fishes which were originally in-game. They were removed after the Fishing Update and can neither be traded nor obtained via other means. Before the Fishing update, "Fishing levels" were not a part of the game, so original fish did not reward players with XP points.

Catching Fish[]
To catch a fish, players have to equip their fishing rod from their inventory and head over to a water body, either the River, the canal leading to the river, or the Lake around the Wishing Well. Players can currently only use the Hades Rod to fish in lava at the Molten Mines to obtain Molten Fish. The Hades Rod can also be used to fish in normal water.
Players have to stand on the coastline or the river bank with their fishing rod equipped and have to tap (for mobile devices), or use the Left Mouse Button (for PC) and click on the water to start fishing.
After a while, the player would be prompted with a small bar with a circle moving constantly from the left to the right side. Players have to try and stop the circle in the green zone, or preferably, inside the circular outline in the middle of the bar. If players successfully land their circle inside the green zone, they would be granted a fish, but if they miss it, their character would retract their fishing rod and play a frustrated animation.
