Crystal in the Molten Mines

A crystal in the Molten Mines.

Crystals are special objects in Overlook Bay that players can obtain through mining in the Crazed Caverns. Players can sell these crystals for a specific amount of Gems, a price which is based on the rarity of the crystal itself. There are currently 13 crystals in-game, 6 of which can be obtained through the Surface Area of the Crazed Caverns, while 7 can be obtained from mining/drilling crystals in the Molten Mines. Crystals cannot be traded.

When a crystal is drilled/mined, the player is also granted a certain amount of XP which helps them increase their level in the Mining Pass.

Crystals[]

Crystals can be subdivided into crystals that can be obtained from the Surface Area and the crystals that can be obtained from the Molten Mines. Crystals obtainable from the Molten Mines generally grant more XP and have a higher selling price in Gems.

Mining Crystals[]

In order to use a drill or pickaxe to drill/mine a crystal, players would need to equip their desired tool through their inventory, head over to the Crazed Caverns, and find a crystal to drill. Players can use a drill to mine at both the Surface Area of the mines and also the Molten Mines, while pickaxes can only be used to mine crystals at the Surface Area.

Players have to simply stand neck-and-neck to their desired crystal with their tool equipped and either tap on the crystal (for mobile devices), or use their cursor to click the crystal (for PC), to break the it. Drills have a "Seconds to Break (STB)" unit representing the amount of seconds it takes for the said drill to break a crystal, whilst pickaxes have a "Hits to Break (HTB)" or simply "Hits" system which indicates the number of times players would have to manually click the Left Mouse Button (for PC), or tap on the crystal (for mobile devices) to break it.

Once the player breaks the crystal, they can interact with it ('E' for PC, tap interaction button for mobile devices) to pick it up and add it to their inventory.

Selling Crystals[]

Crystal Cavity 111

The Crystal Cavity building in the Surface Area of the Crazed Caverns.

To sell a crystal, the player can head over to the crystal's respective The Crystal Cavity shop (for crystals obtained in the Molten Mines, players need to head over to The Crystal Cavity located in the Molten Mines and vice-versa), and talk to the NPC, Cathy Crystal present there to sell the crystals in exchange for Gems.

Boss Fights[]

Molten Mines Mega Rock

The Mega Rock boss.

Boss Fights are a special feature exclusive to the Molten Mines where players can fight large rocks using their drills to earn a large amount of XP as well as a few Ember Shards. These bosses have 10,000 HP and respawn frequently. They first respawn 15 minutes after a server starts, and then have large time gaps between the next time they spawn. Bosses do not spawn in VIP or private servers.

Upon defeating the boss, players are awarded with 2,000 Mining XP and between 1 and 7 Ember Shards.
