The Birthday Celebration Event (2021) is an event that was released on July 23, 2021, and brought along several pets, vehicles, personal vehicles, and tools. This event was hosted in order to celebrate Overlook Bay's 1-year anniversary or birthday.[1]
A majority of the items introduced during this event can be obtained by opening the Gift Box, which is a special and the only collectible item in Overlook Bay that can be opened to obtain other items. Other items, the ones that cannot be obtained out of the Gift Box, can be purchased using Robux.
During the Birthday Celebration Event, the skybox or sky of Overlook Bay was temporarily changed to a party-themed skybox whilst the event lasted. This change was initially spotted by several users on one of Wonder Works Studio's teasers which they shared on their Twitter account a few days before the update.[2] Only the daytime skybox was updated, and the night-time skybox remained the same.
Confetti-like particles started to fall from the sky during the event, similar to rain. The Overlook Park was temporarily removed from the game to make way for the Birthday Event's stands.
