Legacy article
Activities is a legacy article and documents information related to the original Overlook Bay.

This article is about large-scale minigames that are or were previously present in the base game. For event-exclusive minigames such as Ghoul Busting and Archery, see: Minigames.

Activities are crucial gameplay elements in Overlook Bay that players can participate in. Activities are designed like minigames and can be carried out by players to earn specific currencies.

There are a total of five activities players can participate in:

  • Mining
  • Fishing
  • Fruit Picking
  • Digging
  • Treasure Hunting

Mining[]

Mining is an activity in Overlook Bay that takes place in the Crazed Caverns location, in which players can use pickaxes and drills to mine crystals present in the location. The Crazed Caverns are sub-divided into two further parts, notably the 'Surface Area' and the 'Molten Mines'. Pickaxes can only be used in the Surface Area whereas drills can be used in both the Molten Mines as well as the Surface Area.

Pickaxes[]

Pickaxes in Overlook Bay have three values, Luck, HTB (Hits to break), and XP multiplier.

  • Luck: The more the luck, the better the chance of getting a better crystal.
  • HTB: The amount of hits it takes for a pickaxe to break a crystal in the Surface Area.
  • XP multiplier: The higher the XP multiplier, the more XP the user gets upon breaking a crystal. (For example: A pickaxe with a 2x XP multiplier would grant 10 XP instead of 5 XP upon mining the Spirit Rock)

Drills[]

Drills in Overlook Bay, similar to pickaxes, have three values, Luck, STB (Seconds to break), and XP multiplier.

  • Luck: The more the luck, the better the chance of getting a better crystal.
  • STB: The number of seconds it takes for a drill to break a crystal in the Molten Mines.
  • XP multiplier: The higher the XP multiplier, the more XP the user gets upon breaking a crystal.

Crystals[]

Crystals in Overlook Bay can be obtained by mining, and can be sold to the NPC, Cathy Crystal, that can be found at The Crystal Cavity in exchange for Gems. There are 13 different crystals in Overlook Bay. 6 crystals can be obtained by mining in the Surface Area, while the other 6 can be obtained by mining in the Molten Mines. The thirteenth crystal, the Ember Shard, cannot be obtained by mining and instead has to be obtained by participating in Boss Fights.

Fishing[]

Fishing is an activity in Overlook Bay in which players can use fishing rods to catch fish present in various water bodies in Overlook Bay.

Fishing Rods[]

Fishing Rods are tools that allow players to catch fish in Overlook Bay. They have two values, Luck and XP.

  • Luck: The more the luck, the higher the chance of getting a better fish.
  • XP multiplier: The higher the XP multiplier, the more XP the user gets upon catching a fish. (For example: A fishing rod with a 2x XP multiplier would grant 10 XP instead of the standard 5 XP upon mining the Salmon)

Fish[]

Fish in Overlook Bay are assets that can be caught using fishing rods. Fish can be exchanged for Gems at the Barnacle's Bait building and grant the player a certain amount of XP upon being caught. Fish are categorized under 7 different categories, which are based on the location of the fish, that is, where the fish can be caught.

  1. Original Fish: These types of fish were initially introduced to Overlook Bay along with its release, and were removed during the Fishing Update, which added various other types of fish.
  2. Ocean Fish: These types of fish were added to Overlook Bay during the Fishing Update. They can be caught near the ocean that surrounds Marlin's Island, or at the coast of Overlook Bay.
  3. Lake Fish: These types of fish were added to Overlook Bay during the Fishing Update. They can be caught near the lake that surrounds the Wishing Well, as well as from the banks of the canal leading to the main river.
  4. River Fish: These types of fish were added to Overlook Bay during the Fishing Update. They can be caught near the shoreline or banks of the main river that leads up to the ocean.
  5. Molten Fish: These types of fish were added to Overlook Bay alongside the Molten Mines update. They can be caught near any lava surrounding the Molten Mines. Currently, only one fishing rod can be utilized to catch such types of fish, which is the Hades Rod.
  6. Tropical Fish: These types of fish were added to Overlook Bay during the Arcadia Isle Expansion update. They can be caught near any bodies of water that surround Arcadia Isle.
  7. Deep Sea Fish: These types of fish were added to Overlook Bay during the Arcadia Depths update, which was a mutual part of the Arcadia Isle Expansion update. They can be caught from the abyss present in Arcadia Depths.

Fruit Picking[]

Fruit Picking is an activity in Overlook Bay that does not require any tools to perform. This activity takes place across the map of Overlook Bay, and players can sell the product that they obtain by performing this activity at the Organic Offers stall.

Fruits[]

Fruits can be obtained by shaking trees across Overlook Bay or by shaking trees that the player plants in their backyard. Each tree may drop 2 to 3 fruits at once, and can be shaken once every 12 hours. The amount of Gems a player receives upon selling a certain fruit depends on the price of the fruit's respective fruit seed. The more expensive or limited the fruit seed, the more the selling price of the fruit.

Fruit Seeds[]

Fruit Seeds in Overlook Bay can be purchased from either Organic Offers in exchange for Gems, from Arcadia Isle, or through special events. They can be planted in a player's backyard, which can, by default, house 3 fruit trees if a player does not own the +4 Fruit Trees gamepass. Each fruit seed is capable of planting one fruit tree, which gets ready for harvest once every 12 hours.

Digging[]

Digging is an activity in Overlook Bay.

Shovels[]

Artifacts[]

Treasure Hunting[]

Treasure Hunting is an activity in Overlook Bay, in which players can use Detectors to search for Treasure present in the Arcadia Isle.

Detectors[]

Detectors are tools that allow players to dig up Treasures in Overlook Bay. They have only one value, Luck.

  • Luck: The more the luck, the higher the chance of getting a better Treasure.
