The Fruit Loops Advertisement refers to an official advertisement sponsored by Kellogg's North America, in which three games, notably Overlook Bay, Club Roblox, and Livetopia participated. This was one of the only experiences created on Roblox which were restricted to only players that resided in a certain region. Only players that resided in the United States of America could play this game.[1]
The Fruit Loops Advertisement comprised of three games that had links to the Froot Loops World experience present in-game. It was developed by Wonder Works Studio.[1]
Gameplay[]

The GUI that was flashed upon non-US residents that tried to join the experience.

An in-game GUI that noted the three games that participated in the Froot Loops Advertisement.
Froot Loops World comprised of 10 obstacle courses that players could have completed in order to restore the red Froot Loops from a character known as Toucan Sam, which is Froot Loops' mascot. It was described as an "epic breakfast adventure" as well as the "most colorful obby on Roblox" on the game's description present on the game's page.[1]
Players geologically belonging to the United States could have also explored three areas or buildings, "The Colorful Forest", which was described as "a large explorable area where secrets hide around every corner", "The Colors and Curiosities Shop", from which players could purchase exclusive Froot Loops merch, and "The Toucan Trail", which comprised of ziplines that players could have interacted with.
If a player that did not belong to the United States tried to play the game, they were prompted by a GUI stating that only US-residents were eligible to play the game. This GUI included a button which, on clicked, displayed the three games that had assisted in advertising the Froot Loops World experience, i.e., Overlook Bay, Club Roblox, and Livetopia.

The countdown that flashed upon a player's screen upon joining Overlook Bay during the downtime.
On December 6, 2021, 3 days before the game's official release, Wonder Works Studio updated Overlook Bay to add a portal that leaded to the Froot Loops World game as a replacement to the Overlook Park. This, however, was followed by an unprecedented removal of the sale on Doubloon-related items, as the Black Friday Sale (2021) was still active. The sale was restored, however, the portal stayed in-game. A few days later, the game updated again, and the portal leading to the Froot Loops World as well as a majority of the Overlook Park was removed. Wonder Works Studio never issued an official statement or an apology regarding this occurrence.
Later on, during the Overlook RP Update downtime, an advertisement was re-added to the game in the form of a button under the in-game countdown that led to the Froot Loops World experience, it was later removed due to controversy.
Development[]
Through an announcement in their Discord server, Wonder Works Studio conveyed that they had been working on the Froot Loops experience for the past 6 months. The game was released under the "Kellogg’s NA Co." group on Roblox, which was owned by WonderWorksZach, the Creative Director of Overlook Bay.
Criticism[]
This advertisement took place amongst Kellogg's alleged labor disputes that had been taking place in the United States of America since October, 2021. Many players questioned as to why Wonder Works Studio was supporting a company that was, at the time, being socially boycotted and receiving extreme backlash on social media.[2]
Many players were also unhappy due to Wonder Works Studio working on a game for the past 6 months that was allegedly only made available to players that resided in the United States. The delays pressed upon the release of the Overlook RP Update and Timmeh's Season 2 further led to more outrage amongst players, which led to many players labelling Wonder Works Studio as incompetent, thus, mass-disliking the Froot Loops World experience.[1]
Players were also unhappy that even during the downtime, when players were unable to enter the game and a countdown flashed on their screen as they tried to join it, Wonder Works Studio added a link to the Froot Loops World experience near the bottom-right corner of the screen, under the countdown.
