The December Robux scandal refers to the incident that took place during the Holiday Event (2021), alongside the release of the Overlook RP Update, where players that purchased items that were added either as a part of the event, or as a part of Overlook RP Update using 
Robux did not receive their items. Multiple players were affected by this occurrence, as any developer product-related purchase made in-game led to the user receiving nothing. This was caused due to several bugs present in Overlook Bay at the time of release, and has not been resolved yet.
Controversy[]
This bug was first discovered when the Overlook RP Update was released on December 17, 2021, preceded by a building error that caused the Snow Leopard's pedestal to house broken forms of the Shiny and Rainbow Shiny versions of the pet. Although the building error was corrected, the error with Robux purchases continued, which outraged the community further. Players that purchased Snow Leopards ended up not receiving their pets, as of January 4, 2022.
